Privacy Policy
Effective July 5, 2026
Oathfire is built on a simple privacy stance: your oath is between you and yourself.
Your voice recording stays yours
When you swear your oath, the audio is recorded and stored on your device, and it rides your own private, Apple-encrypted iCloud device backup—so a new phone restores it. It is never uploaded to, transmitted to, analyzed by, or stored on any server we operate. Only you hold the key. Deleting the app (and its iCloud backup) deletes the recording.
What we store
- On your device: your oath text, your daily keep/break record, your settings, and your voice recording. This data stays local.
- No account is required. We do not collect your name, email, or contacts.
Subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We use RevenueCat to validate subscription status; this involves an anonymous app-generated identifier and purchase receipt data—never your identity or your oath content.
Analytics and tracking
Oathfire does not sell data, does not show ads, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We do not operate a push-notification server that reads your data.
Children
Oathfire is intended for users 17 and older and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
